Tube Amps

there are tricks to building a good sounding tube amp that has all that bells and whistles ....so just having tube doesn't equate to good tone !!

My vintage Yamaha hundred115 eats some of these cheapo tube amps for lunch

Those Smxxvo tube came promising good deal but sadly was a let down even if cosiderd for mods ....

The power/output trans play a major role in tone delivery too you know !!

Check the new Nady all tube series ...

How cheap? Did you ask the guy who's listed as the S'pore dealer? 8O

hmm.. can't be leh.. first of all.. that's built in the US..

secondly, the one in the webbie has a tube rectifier.. but the one described in the thread has a solid state rect.

Some US based smaller companies, like B-52 amps have their amps made in China so I wouldn't really write it off just yet. Hopefully, those who'd seen it live could confirm if this Alpha & Omega is the same one. :D

Hey, could the amp you guys were talking about be this? Not sure, but it's Alpha & Omega alright.

Maybe "The Babe"?
Checked the website. This Alpha Omega looks more like a high-end booteek stuff rather than a $350 Cheena-made! Big big difference lah!

The company seems new and it's also a small home-grown enterprise. Don't think any of their amps are made in China. Probably it's just a coincidence both amps have the SAME name?

it's not Alpha AND Omega. Just Alpha Omega, and the tolex's black. I remember seeing orange ones, almost similar to valbee, sizewise. Best is to personally go down and look for yerself..
