Ok folks I just got off AIM with Kevan, it looks like the only way we're gonna get our hands on tremol-no units is through either Allparts or through Brian Calvert via universaljems.com, Kevan recommends going through Brian, I second this opinion. He ships out items really fast, and he's a pleasure to deal with.

As it is only these 2 vendors have the units for sale.

The other "Knock-off" trem locking units such as the freelok and the StewMac variant require drilling on your guitars. No way in hell I'm going near my guitars with a drill.

The tremol-no has a built in safety feature which allows it to detach itself from the trem in case you pull on your trem arm, no need to worry about ripping out trem screws from your guitar body.

I'll send an email to Brian and see whether we can hook up a good deal.

Eh include me in the list as well pls. :P

Oh yeah and another thing...Kevan wasn't too pleased with the usage of tremol-no site pics on the forum without his permission, hence the picture switcheroo.

Great news Chris! Brian... well, I hope he isn't as sluggish as he recently was for some of us. :P If Kevan recommends Brian, I'll go with it. However, no way to order direct from Kevan?

And yeah, I would take a drill to my guitar! 8) been there, done that. Hehehe...

This safety feature is excellent. Is it documented on the website?

Chris, do note regarding the shipping, we have to pay 5% GST from Customs if the package value exceeds SGD400. Do take note of that... may have to split the package up to in the event the extra shipping for extra package < GST for 1 big package.

List as of now:

Thanks Chris for all emailing and liaison. If we're going to order from Brian (universaljem.com) and if the shipping costs on his site hold, the total shipping cost is going to be $10 + $15.90 = $25.90 (normal priority mail, 7-10 days) or $10 + $105 = $115 (EMS i think, 3-4 days). Note: All quotes are in USD.

$25.90 is very cheap considering that i paid $20+ for 1 small stomp box.

Ok..We'll wait for Brian's reply then and the safety feature on the tremol-no is sure good news. :)

Yes the shipping costs documented on Brian's site are very reasonable.

But to avoid the GST or any hiddens costs it might be wiser to go through a local AllParts dealer in Singapore. Place and order with them and then perhaps negotiate a good deal.

Does anyone have contact details with regards to local AllParts dealers?

I've emailed Brian already and I'm currently awaiting his reply.

Christopher.

Lets take things 1 step @ a time... wait for Brain's reply first then we approach our local AllParts dealers, which would be Davis and GC.

13 x USD65 = USD845 = 1,368.01 SGD

Not including shipping.

If there's GST... its... $68.40 (not including shipping)

So... without shipping each pays like...

(1368.01 + 68.40)/13 = $110.50

Its nice to play with figures when @ work...

count me in too~!! Wizard. I'm a low tuning player. I rarely play in standard.

I got a few questions though. wen u plonk tis thing into ur guitar and put it to block mode

1) u can downtune ur E standard tuning floyd guitar to D standard tuning right away on the spot?

2) which means for floyd axes, u cant put the neck locks if you would wan to tune it down right away?

Wizard, can you copy the above list and add your name in?

Ans Key.

1) Yes. But wouldn't that be floppy, going from E to D?!

2) You can still have it, but you cannot lock the nut.
