Tremol-no MO (LATEST UPDATE) TOUCHDOWN! Mini gathering!

Yeah. I would expect ETA to be the week after next so we'll see what we can do then. A gathering will also save time for the area ICs since we don't have arrange individual meetups for everyone.

In the mean time, I've gotta fixup my RG and get it setup swee swee to welcome in the tremol-no.
 
set up? well.. we still have to take out the claw and everything to put in the tremolno... so put tremolno then re string.. hmm.. gotta buy new strings..

I'm not sure if you need to remove the string. According to the installation instruction, you don't have to. I need a setup because my RG is dismantled at the moment.

Heh, yeah a mass gathering and install would be nice, can check out each other's gear and exchange ideas and of course unmask ourselves as well.

Great idea.

I suggest everyone watch the video, and learn about the T-no as much as you can before getting it. At least you'll know how to use it and it'll prevent redundant questions that everyone loves so much.

I think it's too late already man. Payment has been collected and sent. Why didn't you confirm your order before while we were still gathering orders?

The best bet right now if you want to get one is to order direct on your own, through Brian Calvert or Allparts.com

any status updates on this?

some people in the US have received and installed them already, there's reports of a small number of units having a manufacturing defect that causes slight movement even when the bridge is locked down. allparts is sending out replacement units FOC, would we have this option if we happen to receive a defective one?

For those of you interested about the "slight-movement", mine has this problem as well along with few guys on the tremol-no forum, along with Dan here. It has to do where the tailpiece (that grabs the tremolo block) and receiver meet. There is a hinge there that should be tight, but apparently isn't on a few units. Others have reported zero movement here, and so it seems like a few units just got messed up (as expected with any mass production of a product). Allparts is already sending me a replacement unit free of charge, so i'll put up my review once I get mine fully working.

Yeah.. I would be organising a gathering. As for the date and place, priority will be given to the ICs as I need to pass the tremol-no's to them. Once I've confirmed with them, I'll let you guys know. If you guys could comedown, it'll cut down the workload for the area ICs. :)

So you guys wanna bring your guitars down? If so, we can try to meet somewhere condusive for such activities. Don't want to see a bunch of guitar nerds "operating" on their guitars in city hall starbucks. do we? :wink:
 
hahaha ... 12 - 14 guys sitting along peninsular basement corridor with their guitars all lay out ... that'll b a sight ... and if any shop wud b kinda enuff to let us use their amp ... then it'll b GREAT !!! :lol:
 
Corridor? :lol: Don't think we'll ever resort to that.

Now, updates again. There's a minor hiccup with the shipping. When the given tracking number is entered on the fedex website, it's stated that "Improper or missing international paperwork, contact Customer Service". I've emailed Brian about it and hopefully he can resolve the problem on his side soon.
 
Tremol-nos are here people!!! All 14 of them are recovering from the jet lag on my bed. :wink:

And as discussed earlier, there WILL be a gathering this coming wednesday 17/5/05 . We'll meet at 6:30pm in front of Guitar77 and from 7-8pm, I've booked a studio so we could do a little jamming with my newly tremol-noed axes. So if you guys are free, do come down to join us. Currently on the attendance list is shredcow, souljah, vaiyen and yours truly.

And if you wish, you can bring down a pedal or two to add to the festive atmosphere. :)
