TONE 2!!!!

Yar... now that you have expounded on your statement, then yes, I would agree with you Impromptu. :D

And yes, i do look forward to " coming out of another darkness " since that is life. Realised there's nothing to be ashamed of in one's journey when one will learn and mature. Hopefully. And not turn cynical or something hehehe... like... erm... IAN! Where are you?!

Would love to get my hands on a boutique pedal but way over budget for bedroom player like me. Next best thing to do is buy 2nd hand boss pedals and mod them.

this where i would to post a pic of men in tight pants ...but it gets deleted anywayz !! oh well .... lets talk abt "kill tone" stuff !! :D

Don't you all know? It's not the undies themselves.. It's how you WEAR the undies.. For example, wearing them on the outside of your jeans helps to more effectively transfer even harmonics through the guitar's body and out through your fingers.. This will enhance the response and sustain of your guitar greatly.. Wearing your undies outside and BACKWARDS will give your amp clipping a more asymetrical waveform.. Duh..

Seriously, let your ears decide for you.. Very often, we tend to subconsiously try to convince ourselves that spending $5 zillion on a pedal will make us sound better.. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.. Try 'em out and try to remain objective.. It's hard but it pays off..

For 80s tone, squeeze yourselves into a pair of CERISI! Anyone remember this classic term called shortspander?!?!?

Which i assumed was derived from suspender

where i grow up in.... we called it spender!

i dunno if it's funny, but sometimes i envy and like others' tone, but at the end of the day, it's my tone that i'm proud of, the unique tone, distinct, and the cost and sweat u spent to tweak such a tone.

no point trying to imitate other tones but have a special unique tone. i rather imitate playing style. 8)

best tone is no tone, the sound of silence plus imagination of sound in mind as tone to go as wild as it can be instead of a physical form in our hearing sense

ohmmmmmmmmmho

Here's another one:
One man's tone may be noisy sound to another man.

Cheers
RoRK

that contradict with what you've said.
How can be noisy if you can only feel?
"Noisy" is adjective for something you hear, not something you feel.

should be:
One man's sound may be noisy sound to another man.

according to your previous postulate

Where got contradict?

Just because it's 'tone' to you doesn't it is to another person. That is why some guitarists have better tones than others. There's just that thing, that undescibable thingy that makes the sound great - a great tone!

All the great guitarist have a great tone. IT's more than just sound.

And then there are some guitarists who think they have a good tone but actually it's awful; lacks feel and is just there - just plain sound.

The trick is to find a tone that is also a tone to others. The funny thing is that with feel it is easier to find that tone than without feel. :?

RoRK talk alot of RoCKs today.
Cheers
