hmmm... thanks for all the reply.

regarding pickups... how do i know which pickups are good? how the guitar sound when i play it? and if the guitar is using a single coil so i must always stick with single coil? cant change to humbucker?

u prolly cud..but will have to remove some precious wood..

not very reccomended unless..

u really noe wad u want.

as you say you are a newbie... would suggest buying and learning to play a 'stock' guitar first before thinking of modding...

then when you know what tone you want and style of playing then go for modding then

i dont think you'll get single coils in an epiphone les paul. They're all humbuckered. You should stick with the stock pickups for quite sometime first before changing it. because only then you will be able to tell whats lacking in the tone, and then you can decide on which pickups to get more effectively.

yea..noe wad u wnat before making a change or u're juz being foolish.

i got a fren who plays an epiphone les paul..

and everything is stock.pups,tuners,knobs,pots..everything..

but it still sounds nice everytime he plays it.

tt goes to show tt..tone lies in those long thing u call fingers.

yea..good idea.

but i'll have to expose my joints wont i?

i swear it'll get messy. and i'll end up eating my bones.

back then when i had my epi lp std, it was a disaster..

now im playing on my epi lp classic.. everything changes for the better.
