Those jacksons at sweelee......

So sub, have u tried the ones in sweelee? What do you think of the kelly? :)

i've tried them all. i prefer the non-floating bridge models as Jackson's version isn't up to the industry's standard when it comes to tuning stability. that Kelly there is a nice player, it lacks a tone knob which IMO would make the guitar more pleasing tone-wise.

interested parties, do note that Jackson's neck profile isn't parallel to Ibanez's- they shouldn't be, unless they are buying each other's parts. most Jackson necks tend to sport a very wide profile at the upper fret areas, especially after the 15th fret.

similar opinion on the bridge unit. the neck is as kamikaze as the Kelly. i recommend the blue Dinky model there @ the BB showroom (reverse headstock). 8)

sorry my friend, i don't remember it having that price tag, more like $1.4K... unless it was subject to price revisions.

Hmm then I must go check again, thanks anyway. Really surprises me that no one bought those guitars despite numerous sweelee sales. 8O

I blocked the trem on my Kelly because i wanted a nice looking guitar that i could play in different tunings, and as i couldnt pass up the deal i just had to get it and block the trem.
It might have been nicer to have a tone knob as well for versatility, but as it sounds good i'm not really going to complain too much

reality- during sales, other more costly guitars become affordable, those Jacksons would be written off on many people's list by then...

it's personal, this one... 8)

as for me, i'm not in favour of the neck profile, i do deem them to be good guitars per se.

I played on the kelly quite some time back,i had gone to the shop with my mind made up to buy the kelly, played on it...walked out with an ibanez prestige... :D

Why did you change your mind? :D

I almost got a MIJ DINKY instead of my Ibanez Saber. :) Good thing I got my Saber, the Edge trem is superior to the Jackson trem.

Jackson does make great guitars.. However, its jsut the issue of the trem. They have Jacksons with OFRs, but those are top of the line models or custom models. If I think superstrat, I think jackson has the meanest superstrat body out there.
