Thin patch Cable and Thick ones

Hi,

Does any of you experience any tonal difference when u switch from thick patch cables to thin ones (eg Canare ) ?
Been using Tonedrive patch but switched to the Canares ones to save space..I noticed some 'thinning ' in sound .
Eventually went back to the Tonedrive patch.
Anyone here used Evidence patch cable? Any good?

i'm using both melody and monorail on my board. Yeah i do think it's some good cable but.. i hope there will be a better plug solution though..

I use what you mentioned, Canare and Tonedrive patch cables. I don't notice any tone difference. Maybe my ears not sensitive.

it isn't so much the thickness but rather the differences in specs... capacitance, length, stuff like that.

And yes, these things do make a difference.

U mean the plugs on Evidence are not that good? Saw some Evidence patch cables at Zen guitars...need to check out the price.

its the inner core material, thickness of the conductor, shielding method etc, not the exterior thickness that determine the characteristic.

and its the capacitance that has more to affect the sound then the resistance for cables.

thin or thick, if we dont look at the inner core structure and material, a hearing test without knowing which cable is from which brand, there will be biased factors in it that will affect our judgement

and if to be really under that sort of situation, whats left, is our preference to sound and not a true reflection of the performance of the cable.
