Haha u can call it informed luck, if it makes any difference. A penalty save is a penalty save after all, whether by luck, chance, informed guess, whatever. Still, Spain shlould've put the game away in 90 minutes, Italy were terrible in attack until Camoranesi came on. Dunno what happened to Torres, perhaps a lack of space was frustrating him. A deserved win for Spain though, on to the finals, although Russia will be a stern test. Beating the Netherlands is no mean feat. The difference in that game will be the attack, their defences ain't good, and the frontmen and suppliers of assists have to turn on the mojo. On paper, its Xavi, Iniesta, Villa and Torres vs Arshavin, Bilayetdinov, Pavlyuchenko and Zhirkov. But on the pitch, it'll be different. Watch out for these players. I predict a close game, and Spain to go to the final, after a 3-2 or 4-3 win after extra time. But if it goes to penalties, we have Casillas or even better, Reina to win the shootout for the la Furia Roja. Go Espana!
Going to the Germany game, this one will be high tempo to the end, the Turks have the determination of lions and staminas of oxes. But they will be missing Arda Turan, Tuncay Sanli and Nihat Kahveci, the former 2 suspended while the inspirational skipper is injured, and has flown (the coop?) back to Turkey. This will be the Turks' and in some ways the Germans' sternest test yet and it will definitely be a close one. But i can't see Turkey pulling through this one, especially with 3 key players suspended ( Arda Turan, Tuncay Sanli and Volkan Demirel, although the latter won't be missed if the game goes into penalties ) and joint topscorer Nihat Kahveci injured. It will be the Germans controlling the midfield and this will be the key part. The attack will be closed out by the tight Turkish defence and the defence will be troubled at quick counterattacks. Germany to win this one 2-0 or 2-1 in 90 minutes, i can't see the game going into penalties.
