The Euro 2008 Football Championship Thread

i have to say part of the game was pretty boring.if germany was to equalise than i reckon it 'd be a great game.but a cup final won in 90mins isnt exciting.

congrats to spain.in my opinion the game wasnt about torres.he is just there to finish the job.it was more to iniesta and xavi in the middle of the park.

now luis aragones is the oldest manager to win a euro championship.

Great team effort, but I'm bias towards torres!

SHYTE! Young man! That sounded just too gay! :D

Haha!

Player of Euro2008 for me is Xavi.

I just wished that the Germans had better tactical acumen. Low has a lot to answer to. I actually doubt if he'll stay on to take the team towards World Cup 2010.

Other than Holland and Portugal, we had two of the best attacking teams in the tournament. It's not often that one gets such an opportunity for a final of this stature.

Bring on the BPL!!!!!!!!!

C'mon. Let's just face it.

Spain won. Don't have to complain how boring the match is. As long as they won and showed their class. =D

well overall match the WAS boring.

but true, spain did show their class and could've put the game beyond doubt but the germans were very lucky.

congrats to those who chose spain right from the get-go.

BACK TO THE BPL!!!!!

Oooh Lah Lah! Deutschland's Been Bitten By The Spanish Fly!!!!!!

Wella Wella! Espana did play better than Deutschland.

Somehow Michael Ballack does remind me of Mark Wahlberg + Matt Damon....

If The Rapture does not come by this year or next year or even 2010, then I will get a chance to watch The World Cup Soccer Games to be staged in South Africa.......

Haha looks like my pre-match analysis was pretty much on the money. Low really needs to stop making those stupid subs, i wld have preferred Lahm stay on the pitch to prove himself, it was almost an embarrassment really, to be taken off at half-time, and for that joker Jansen too. Kuranyi had a great chance but he fluffed it, after the ball struck his shin and bounced into Casillas' hands. He shoulda taken off Ballack and put on Trochowski, his pace woulda caused Senna problems. Hitzlsperger was doing ok, dunno why he had to be taken off. Kinda wished he or Frings woulda conjured up one of those 35 yard thunderbolts for more drama but it didn't materialize. Torres was superb, wish he had stayed on the field longer, coulda added to the 33rd minute goal. His replacement, Guiza was doing pretty ok though, he nearly set up Senna but his header was a little to fast and Senna didn't have time to react. All in all, the team that deserved the title won and this will be remembered as one of the better Euro championships. Viva Espana!
