The epiphone les paul standard

know that there are some of us here who took pains to track down owners of certain instruments & shamelessly request for a quasi-dismantling experience of their beloved instruments, for perspective's sake & not just limit our experience with a showroom try-outs, when we compare certain products.
how many of these people are there when you say some of us?

handicapped individuals do appreciate their physical well-being better, but there are people who aren't who are equally appreciative. maybe they had a near-handicap experience before?

IMHO, i feel that it is almost humanly impossible to appreciate your current situation unless you almost lose it or you lost it. I know of people who go to the extent of doing volunteer community service in poor developing countries just to appreiciate their well being in Singapore

With all due respect to all that you have contributed to soft.
Subversion, your guitar collection can rival some guitar shops. You have been purchasing all those fancy guitars like its just buying another t-shirt(at least it seems to me) .

I wonder how much do you appreciate your guitars, how much do you play them after you bought it . Compare yourself to somebody who plays just 1 or 2 guitars iin his whole guitar playing life, somebody who have to negotiate painstakingly with their parents, or take up part time jobs to get their guitars.

exactly my friend. these people aren't deprived but they make it a point to be with those who are. it proves that you need not be one, to emphatize. you just need a little compassion & gratitude, which not many are ready to show until there is a calling.

when i try certain products out, i'd do my best to have some people tag along, it's part of my effort to educate in order to understand. some people dislike a certain brand name not because they are exposed to a certain deception but because they jump into a product-bashing bandwagon which is a very self-demeaning thing to do.

relating to this Epiphone issue, if there's anyone out there who is totally dismissive of the brand name, be assured that the manufacturer does better with the signature models & non-Gibson affiliated makes like the Casino for instance.

Epi Casino- yummy

some epiphone LPs are good but most are crap imo. played one before. sounded like shit, the stock pickups. construction is ok but i think those of tokai and burny beat it

and i say beat it in price, i mean, it's MORE than epiphone, so definitely the quality is emphasised in building them

c'mon man i had bad experiences with epi LPs dun blame me. i'm not biased against it although trying to keep an open mind :P

DUDE!
Hahahaha.... didn't you knoiw, the Ibanez Sabre is supposed to give thick LP tones with minimal weight?

SEE! Its related!

Okay, fine. :) Kidding... the Sabre does not give you LP thickness. ;) It just sounds good and fat for its size.

Anyway, the old Ibanez lawsuit LP models were very good. Don't belittle them! 8)

LOL unless Ibanez creates another new LP design...Ibanez LP..LOLs
Ibanez basically copied every guitar design out there... including the LP...
haha..i know...but their copies suck..dun like them though...prefer the epi LP...

I think Ibanez enhanced all the classic guitar designs and made them their own.
err..read more abt the Ibanez story in this month's GuitarWorld. Very interesting.

i appreaciate each & every one of my guitars, the reason i keep them all considering that there is a wife in my household who keeps questioning the validity of owning more than 1 guitar & the fact that i do not make a living out of them.

i am always mindful of the individuals who took pains to save up & finally acquire a guitar- many of us started off like that, myself included. along the way, i figured that if i can somehow empower the individual with knowledge before s/he parts with those prescious dollars so that there won't be eternal regret when the transaction eventually takes place- the very reason i bothered to do so many write-ups here for FREE. on the flip-side, i'm writing free lance in the mean time for some other organizations & the rate is $70/ A4 page. imagine the $$$ i can make with the reviews here, but i'm not asking for a single cent.

i'm also not asking anyone here to respect me with reference to the above accounts- do so only after you know me personally, not after reading some shameless self-promo in some forum/ message board. in any case, i've gone too off-topic. apologies but thanks for understanding.

alright then. pardon my ignorance. It was just out of curiosity. I never for a moment doubted your sincerity.. Respect is not something to be asked, its to be earned, and i'm sure many of us will agree that you earned our respect, even though we do not know you that well on a personal level

yes... subby... we respect you, i respect you, you really help us out alot....

i guess everyone out here appreciate what you do....

yup sub...no one can ever denied all the work that u haf done for SOFT and for us Softies....respect to u...
