how's the fx25b compared to the agent funk and tonefactor af? i'm thinking of downgrading to one of them dod filters

Thanks.

I like the FX-25B a lot. Very funky pedal. You can get some really nice slurpy filter sounds. Not a great bypass though, like a lot of DOD pedals. I've heard that the early edition FX-25s are a better buy if you can find one.

The 00Funk is a more complicated filter. Takes a bit of time and tweaking to get your setting a great filter nonetheless.

Of the 3, I find the Tonefactor 442 Red to be the most subtle. It's not really my cup of tea when it comes to filter. I like a more full sounding filter. IMO the 442 is a bit thin.

here's my pedal board.

all are on a Gator Pedal Tote.

from left, clockwise:

1. Vox Snake Charmer Compressor: i'm just really impressed with it. admittedly bought on impulse.
2. Boss Bass Chorus: Sounds nice when i'm playing classical stuff on my own. like say, marriage d'amour or fur elise.
3. t.c.electronic Vintage Bass Distortion: produces a subtle boost to a throaty growl. impulse purchase.
4. Tonebone Bassbone: can't do without it. it's a serious command centre, and makes my el cheapo tuner useful.
5. Electro-harmonix Bassballs: goes quite well with the chorus for dabbling with funk. the distortion switch comes in handy for messing around (:

i didn't buy all those for specific reasons, i like experimenting with different sounds.

my pedals are set in the following order:

Bass -> Distortion -> Bassbone (loop: Chorus -> Bassballs) -> Compressor -> Amp.

^^ i like how u squeezed everything on a pedal tote!

aye, been busy lately but not too busy to take an updated pic of my board
