Okay, here's my little review after messing around with the pedal for a while

For a small pedal it's really heavy. This is due to the full metal housing the pedal is made of. Design and made in Sweden, can't say more about the quality. Really hardcore metal. You can actually feel the weight of the metal weighing down on your hand.

The base plate is covered with a soft foam so that it doesn't get scratched i guess, really nice and comfy, i'm thinking how it's going to work when you wanna attach a velcro to it.

I did read comments on how the pedal doesn't octave and octave at times ... it happened to me. I thought i got a faulty pedal, but after mucking around i realised that my signal into the pedal was too low. This is because for octavers they require a signal to divide it and octave that .. if the signal is too low the pedal can't read your signal and naturally it won't track and octave, so i blasted my signal and wala, it worked perfectly. =)

There are 3 modes to the octave, high which gives a synth-sound, mid which is the classic octave mode and low which gives a low-end rumbling sound. I have to say that despite being my first octave pedal, it sounds really musical and natural to it. Just that you have to control the octave input, sometimes can overkill. It's not brash but fits in nicely ... my amp is a small 30watt so i couldn't really hear the full impact of it. I think when i play live it's worth will be tested. but it sounded really good.

Added with my chorus pedal, goodness, you can a nice lush octave sound. Amazing stuff .. =) ..

Rating: 5 stars out of 5.

Can't go wrong with EBS man ...

woww, ive heard tonnes about this baby too.. thing is i actually don't know when i would use the octaver.. maybe if my band only had one guitarist.. but yeahh, looking at mr moran play phat duck with the octaver and all just makes it so droolsome!
