i thought that the slap tone would sound better w more highs, but pretty groove

i'm sure it would .. =) .. but hey! .. it's a P-bass ... it's supposed to sound like that .. and it's good that it's sounds like that cos if it didn't it wouldn't be worthy of a P pickup.

heyy that looks like a familiar 6 string... i didnt know so many people owned an ibby BTB 406!!

n that's not heavy if u compare it to a fender vintage jazz..

i nearly bought the BTB405 way back that time ..

it's a beautiful instrument .. the only thing that put me off if i remember correct was the feel of it. It just didn't feel right .. =)

Haha, me and BTBs don't go well together. Actually, me and 24-fret basses don't go well together, period. Never felt comfortable on them :(

i like the feel of the 6 string btbs. the 5er just feels a bit too thin for me. the neck is not deep enough. a trb 5er neck on the other hand... perfect.

exin, awesome r&b clips. you have a very melodic style of soloing that i like. do post more :)

i have a hard time slapping on a 5 or 6 string, i donnoe if its me or nt, but i feel the strings are too close to each other, maybe thts why i am having a hard time, i always hit the wrong string when playing it.

btb and trb basses have regular 19mm string spacing on the 5 stringers. depends on which bass you try. i think we're more sensitive to 5 and 6 string neck construction than 4.

As far as i know, TRB's arent as wide as 19mm. Probably 18 or less. This with the exception of the JP models.

BTBs are 19mm for 5 strings and 18mm for 6 stringers.

bear in mind that's the string spacing at the bridge i think.. some basses look like they "fan out" towards the bridge from the nut cuz the spacing at the nut is smaller. that can also give a different feel to the bass
