Even though a 20% discount off the list price applied, my Imperial was nevertheless still way too much money for a glorified piece of wood! Still, it is a monster of an instrument to play, and hopefully will bring me years of pleasure as its tone melllows over time.

Sorry guys, forgot to mention its a Tribute By G&L (Gay and Lesbo) L-2500. I've played both USA G&Ls and tributes. This one is like a USA one in terms of feel! Sound-wise, they all sound alike due to the electronics, so thats no issue. I get a nice compressed sound out of it through the EBS microbass ll. Gonna try it this coming friday on my usual gig!
