Marleaux Consat Custom 4 (Retired)

Man, Kelvin, that's just sinful to look at lah. Now i want a fender bass of my own! Why'd you retire the marleux?

Hey Wraith!

I've been using this Marleaux for like 6 years...I think.lol. For me, 6 years is a long time for a modern bass. Maybe I see her as an old fragile lady now? hehe! But yeah man, I have to agree with you. cos she does somehow sound better, being a satin (some kind of thin oil??) finished bass. But in all honesty, i dunno if its cos I adapted to the instrument, or it just sounds more pleasant no matter what crap I do. Forever a mystery it will be la....!

Lol, she's a grand old dame now isn't she? But i think your wood has seasoned already, so hence it sounds better than ever before. Probably the reason why people will pay so much for vintage equipment, cuz the seasoning of the wood puts them tonally a notch above. But man, your collection is gorgeous!

uncle siow, tat marleaux dun sell off ah... wait i sad la... i now u got new babes but dun leave her out or sell k... i can look after for u :smt003

she's a MILF

Lol, you should never sell a bass like that, maybe trade it off for a bass of a similar/better value, but NEVER sell!

interesting jazz there... what's its history???

Hullo, thanks! I know an instrument builder here in Perth who helped me put it together. www.ormsbyguitars.com

Sorta wanted it to be a cross between a '51 Precision and a '77 Jazz.

Btw, I like the Ramones too...pretty much any punk from that era. Clash, Misfits, Dead Kenn's etc.
