damn i'm gas'ing for:

either an Ibanez 605 (the MIJ one)
or a LAKLAND 55-02 dlux (i cant afford a US one )

+1 for the RD605 MIJ. those were amazing with the 'real' duncans stock.

Someone should be a lakland dealer and bring in those basses. skylines at the very least. the attention they get at the bass forum should be an indication to its demand in singapore.

Its a 1977 J bass, swamp ash body with maple neck. Bridge pickup was swapped out and lost. Current one is a lace sensor.

Swamp Ash and Maple, sweet combination! The sound must be tighter than a piccolo snare.....

Is the bridge pickup situated nearer to the bridge than latter day Jazz Basses? Cos my '74 is like that, and I can't remember when they reverted back to the current pickup placement.

By the way, how does the lace sensor sound? Never heard one before, just kinda curious.

wah... jm2. not bad. the one they had at PS had rusty strings which were set up a mile away from the fretboard. couldn't really test it out.

what made u choose the jm2 and not the btb or trb? curious.
