The All-New Ibanez Appreciation Thread

actually scouting around the 2nd hand market can get you some pretty rare Ibanez guitars. the good thing about Ibanez is that most of their range are affordable to most.

yeah they have mid- and end- year sales every year.

EDIT: yeah there's one of each guitar and when someone takes it off the shelf and buys it, that's that. they might restock for the next day though.

Even there is a year end sale, you might not get what you want. You will never know what stuffs they will put on sale and there are others who want the same guitar as you. If Im not wrong, they will only have one piece of each guitar on display.

the korean S2170 is still in production as well...

+100!!! But I wish they still made the 22 fret version rather than the new 24 frets.

Why not 24 frets? Its like huge kick in the face for RG owners....now they have no excuse to not enjoy a more versatile guitar and better tone! Most of the rg diehards who tried my s470 really liked the tone....was fat massive and sustaining. Just that they play dream theatre and they need 24 frets...wad a convenient excuse...:)

erm... because 24 frets kills the harmonics at the neck. 22 is more than enough for me. There's a nice deep throaty effect for a neck pup at the 24th fret position. Something the 24 fret guitars cannot deliver.

This I don't mind. But it sort of looks a bit like a odd "wannabe" finish next to my EBMMJP6. But then again, its a nice comanion. Thanks for reminding me of this one.

But I still like this one:
