I guess when it comes to Ibanez, it's either you love it or hate it. For me, Ibanez was the one for me...no thanks to Satriani and Vai. For one who grew up in the 80s listening to Surfing With The Alien, Flying In A Blue Dream and Passion & Warfare, it was only natural that I took a liking to Ibanez. Heh. Will post pics of my RG1550 soon.

electronics still ok but needs more work, can still get pickguard for this custom?

you sure have a lot of questions. i think you should start your own thread. also the S470 is a good guitar, but that purple one has been there for ages. shldn't be a problem though.

Here's mine:

My first Ibanez is this old 1991 MIK RG350. Real workhorse and never let me down. I swapped the pickups a few times and changed the bridge once. A few months ago, I had no choice but to retire it as I discovered cracks on the neck-heel joint. Really broke my heart to see the cracks, after all these years of owning it. All this talk about basswood, alder, ash...this one was built with jelutong, of all things!

My current Ibanez is this MIJ Prestige RG1550. Everything is stock except that the pickups have now been changed to Air Norton-Fast Track-Tone Zone combo. It's a fitting tribute to my beloved RG350, for obvious reasons.

i like that too, but the inlays are a turn off, why a hollow sharktooth lol..
imo superwizard necks are damn fun to play with.. and the difference between a superwizard and wizard 2, albeit a lil more than 3mm, is alottttttt

Well would love to bro....but it dosent belong to me anymore....it was my beloved workhorse guitar but now its been passed on.

I am now a Fender Strat convert

Ibanez are still pretty goood guitars, playability wise. but i've found my voice on a strat
