Tenori.On or Monome (Software Version)

Help needed from music folks here:

Has anyone here ever come across a lookalike software version of Tenori.On or Monome?

If there is such a software, I intend to interface it with a touch screen monitor and use it as a teaching tool for children with special needs.

check out the monome forum, theres some mentioning of software version done by enthusiasts over there.

this one below one of it i saw from there.

Another place to check out could be max msp forum, there might be info there, since most of the monome applications are done in max.

Not sure if theres any software version of tenori on. Theres a cheaper version coming out though, with plastic casing, one sided display, batt powered and improved firmware update, which supposingly improved on the sluggish midi sync issues.
