Tele fenders and copies

Been looking around for teles and now that fender teles standard is retailing at $799.

Any nice bang for buck alternatives around? Some "better ones" are J and D and possibly squire?

Check out the Squier Classic Vibe Tele: rave reviews all over The Gear Page and Harmony Central. Should be about $590.

hey there. anyone here knows where i can find a squire tele custom (or similar product) ? looking for a cheap but oh so sexy 2nd guitar.

does MIM Fender's have the 62 model?the one with the binding front and back.

only realised that they have it made from America and Japan.might be value for money if the Squires have it too.

I dont think the squires we have now are made in japan/us. They are supposed to be cheaper alternatives.

Dime: Currently no 62 styled MIMs

Closest you get to the binding on the MIMs is the classic 60s custom with bigsby.

You'll have to find a 60s style custom tele to get the binding. Non customs don't have binding unfortunately.

Since the MIM standards in SG have dropped in price, its worth to get it.

An alternative would be MIJs/HW1s. Those would be around 1k, I'd pick up a used one for around 750-850 if I were to choose between the MIJs and HW1s compared to the MIM standards. But that will really depend on how well the guitar plays and sounds. I wouldn't be too worried about where it was made in.

just go to the classifieds aka buy & sell section ...
there are many MIJ/CIJ tele's for sale around $700
