Good idea, let's post some pictures.....

Let me take some pictures of my tele parts and when I'm done I'll post here.

Thinking of getting an MIM Tele and put a Strat single coil at the neck...I've a feeling some routing needs to be done at the body but I do know most MIM Tele bodies have a humbucker slot at the neck route, wonder if a Strat single coil can go in the neck position w/o any mods?

When it comes to modifying guitars, try to avoid doing anything that you cannot reverse, just in case you change your mind later. If possible, do not do routing on the body, it takes too much time and effort.

If you wanna put a strat single coil on a tele neck, the cavity must be slightly bigger than the usual tele cavity, also you will surely need a custom cut pickguard.

Best solution is just to buy those tele neck pickups which are created to sound like strat neck pickups so that you don't have to do any routing.

About 10 years ago, I installed tele saddles on a strat tremolo bridge. I drilled 3 holes in the bridge plate. Though it does sounds better but somehow I don't quite recommend that anyone do this.

Wow, ToneJedi, those Tele saddles on a Strat are unique :)

Hehe alright, I'm looking for something different to put at the neck position...perhaps those GFS Filtertrons or vice versa..

Actually, they are just some cheap saddles I bought from davis guitar, haha, prior to that, I had 62 reissue tele saddles but the string alignment was off so I changed it.

Filtertrons! I never noticed them until recently, they look really cool to me but I'm never played one. Heard some sound clips and I think they will sound great with vox amps. Maybe when I assemble my next esquire tele, I'll put 1 in the bridge pickup.

I saw some of your self assembled guitars on the classified ads, interesting stuff. So glad to meet a fellow guitar assembling enthusiast.....

Ahhh nice to meet u 2 man, I'm not actually that proficient in DIY yet and even had to get my fellow DIYers to help..hehe...need to learn the art of soldering..:p

I can see that Teles electronics will be easy to rectify and mod cos no need to take off the strings unlike a Strat..

We should talk! I'll pm you.

Lately there has been a lot of interest in the Teles loaded with widerange humbuckers. IMO the best sounding Tele would be a Telecaster custom. best of both worlds!

^ Haha not yet la. I wanna do an Esquire in the style of Fender CS's Stealth Esquire one day.

Got the VOX from City Music. Great service as always, albeit the long waiting time lol.

Do show some pictures of your nocaster, if you have it.

You like assembling teles too? Much better value for money than any fender cs! Feel free to PM me, I got a list of resources of where I got my tele parts.

I think I made a mistake..... I had this impression that there were 2 different versions of ac4tvh, actually, there's only 1 version. I bought mine in 2010 year end sale.

Check out the Seymour Duncan Custom telecaster, based on the tele used by jeff beck. Modelled on a butterscotch blonde 52', with 2 humbucks and a TOM.

Only 35 of 'em made in the world...

I saw Davis selling it, displayed prominently in front. US online stores list it for 6k+...

Listen to the demo done by proguitarshop. Esp the neck pickup. Never hear anything like that... Its a Jazz/JB humbuck set with 250k pots if im not wrong.
