Hey Peeps what about luther music than?, i feel the peeps over there have excellent customer service and gd knowledge on their products definitely a nice and cosy palce to visit, even lets u try the high end acoustics with no obligations :)

i agree bout the city music service! they are often the friendliest bunch... but the down point is that they dun carry the stuff people mainly like, like epiphone, fender, boss and stuff.. but they got zoom, line6 and so on! :D

i havent heard of luther music since they left IMM! and dat was yearrrsss back... cos i live very near IMM and the luther music guys are super duper friendly... miss those days man...

SL depends, sometimes you get good service, sometimes bad service. I prefer the one at sims drive then BB.BB mostly quite snobbish other then a few dudes. There is one particular dude at BB ,who wears specs and he definitely is the friendliest and has good CS of the lot.

my experience at SL was rather good imo . i spent like close to 3 hours there (sims drive) just to try out the basses before i came to my choice . the people are friendly and the CS are good . they even allow me and my brother to jam there while testing out the guitars/basses la . =)

City Music is damn bloody good . they will just keep on asking if you need any assistance . everyone there is friendly like mad and their CS is tip top

I called the sweelee branch +65 6-846 3610... @ ard 6.45 i asked when is the end of year sales.. he said i dun knw and hang the phone... i still have questions to ask regarding the pearl rhythm traveler.. so rude of him. Unlike other reatail store that i've called they would atleast say 'thanks for calling'....

Zetoroz,
No offence but I think you when you called swee lee you should rather ask about your pearl stuffs first and then asking about the year end sales. I'm sure they will definately help you out with that. I'm not saying that you are in the wrong position asking such a question .Afterall for the year end sales, they can't really confirm with you either. Maybe no year end sales? who knows, the management will decide and not sales staff.(I guess so).

But do they boom every time someone calls?Or just go by smoothhhhh eh eh eh KA BOOM!!

Ya guys know what i mean????...haha

okay.

At Davis, the guy noticed my whammy bar was too stiff. they asked me to take out

then after trying to unscrew it it broke
not rly their fault la...

ah... the first time i ever went to swee lee, i approached one salesperson and he kind of ignored me and gave sloppy answers... gave me the opinion that they don't seem to like to entertain students whom they don't think would have the money to actually afford the good guitars... was planning to get one there since i've heard of its good reputation... but then again, that trip turned me right off.

we often disrepute a store's service when it really is the individual salesperson whose actions could have been better...

I really have to say, your statement is quite biased on the favor of the shop.

My family did F&B business before, I was placed in charge of hiring and training of our waiter/waitress.

From my humble minor experiences, you cannot put the blame on bad mannered individuals, its how the shop and the bosses trains their staff, and what kind of service concept they inject into their sales staff's mind.

Its always the shop's responsibility for not being able to cultivate good salesperson.

ah i know who you mean. he's awesome.
there was a time where me and 2 friends we're surveying amps and he showed us an ibanez toneblaster. great service and friendly guy. kudos to him!

and he could play guitar! fancy that.

Ok ok sorry if you don't understand i try explain...

If i call to swee lee,and i asked "Wanna go to macdonalds?I buy a guitar"
Will the boom! OR cheeeee smoooooo hehhhhhhh KA BOOM!!!!!!!

Yeah thats what i mean..LOL HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

i'm not inclined to favour any shops at this point in time because none of them paid me to do so.

i'm asking everyone to open their eyes (& minds) & evaluate service based on specific occurrences/ incidents. yes, the shop's goodwill goes into disrepute generally due to the employees' actions, as such, reputation is in effect an entire affair, not just individuals. if we are quick to put down a shop based on the individual's performance then what about the rest of the employees who excel in their customer service?

i'm still sore with a particular store here who cheated me (product related) & gave rude remarks upon confrontation but i still patronize that store, i prefer being served by another salesperson when i'm there. i don't say the store sucks as such because i know it's the person concerned.

Well all i can say is that its very hard to please anybody, & its very easy to blame others. I bought my Ibanez @ Swee Lee & the staff are very nice giving me time to test which guitar I want really & the cashier explained me in detail that they are having a promotion & thus I was happy for I got the guitar that I want for half the price. Yeah we know that customers are always right but please do consider that the staff are people too, just like everyone so give them some slack.
