Swee Lee Sale: Drummers' Thread: What're you going to get?

I've bought:

Four pairs of sticks
one snare drum skin
one paiste dimensions 16" crash(hand hammered)
one sabian paragon 22" ride(bell is hand hammered)
one tama iron cobra rolling glide double pedals
one tama boom stand
one premier cymbal bag
one pearl saddle throne

Spent almost 1k. But I'm happy with the sale. =)
Glad that the cobras are still at 50% discount unlike the rumours. All the cymbals are on 50% discounts too. I think on whole, cymbals are the best buys at the sale.

Hey, the indian guy actually only bought one! You should have told him. LOL
If it's the same guy we're talk about, he was just holding on to the flexi glide pedals initially because he was waiting to see if there's rolling glide. after the sales staff passed him the rolling glide, the indian guy told me that actually he's just holding on to it. He only wants the rolling glide.

Yeah, I was lucky to meet a regular size man in his late thirties who passed me the pedals. =)
I was lucky to meet a nice young chap who chatted with me about cymbals and even give me his number. He told me that if I don't want the cymbals that I've bought, he'll buy it from me instead. haha.

Got one staff bluff me that there's only HOM throne on sale. Bloody hell, I went to the back(behind the drumsets shelf) and found tama and pearl thrones. I felt like throwing the HOM throne at him.
 
Yea there were alot of pearl symphonic snares. b4 discount abt 1000-1200.
Think there were a couple of tama sig and maple snares and the same old premier ones which nobody buys. and the 3000 and 6000 premier snare was in the glass room.

Went there on Sat 3pm. and WOW the cymbals available got me going crazy. Fortunately i did not join the morning rush for stuff as there were still many good cymbals available. It was really tempting to spluge but i decided to hold back as i don't need the cymbals.

Service was ok. Helmi (spelling) was kinda like jackle & hyde . Sometimes friendly some times not. Sometimes helpful sometimes not. But it was better then last time, so thumbs up to you dude. He even told me the negative aspect of the meinl hardware that i was about to buy and gave me alternative suggestions.

Heh one guy dropped a snare!! goodness. Then the boss was like looking over to see what happened. I think for instruments, should have a "you drop you buy" kind of thing. You'll never know if the structual integrity is still intact after the drop. Pity the person who buys that snare.

Just bought
- 8" HH Splash (wondered why no one grabbed this)
- a couple of tony royster jr drum sticks
- steve gadd brushes
- tama cymbal extension
- meinl 'triple cowbell' thingy - Wanted to get the 3 sized pearl wooden blocks though... but they were last pieces and condition was not that good. Asked if i cld get more discount off it, and was given a no reply.

Wanted to get a crash. But thought i could get it cheaper 2nd hand.
any body selling off HHX crashes? :P

bloody hell, i settled for a hom throne after the botak ahpek said no more throne.. basket lah that ahpek.. the charact one.. haiya i wanted to get the b80 or d80 pearl throne.. nvm next year can go.. haha

woah, someone dropped a snare ah?? and he must buy meh?? someone dropped an electric guitar, broke, and said " i dunno i dunno".. haha funny shit.
 
the sale was crazy... i didn't really knew what to buy but i got pearl eliminators, double pedal... which was actually thanks to the bald dude. he was the one who got me the pedals despite the fact that the showroom had none. he went into the warehouse to take it for me. i guess he didn't PMS at that point of time.

i got a meinl left foot cowbell bracket (now attached to my old pedal), but at that point of time my friend wanted one too. so i asked if there were more... asked the guy named helmi or something. he said very loudly, almost rudely that there were no more... but i go search around and lo and behold there were 2 more... albeit they were pearl, not meinl.

having fun with left foot clave now :D can do so much more with the left foot... really opens up the possibilities.

Nah he wasn't asked to buy it, but suay for the person who don't know and buys it.
 
oh ya there was this idiot DAVID guy. i was checking one of the boxes then he came up to me "EXCUSE ME CANNOT OPEN BOX" then im like how the hell i know whats inside then he said smth like "you just grab and pay no testing allowed" im like wtf how you want me to buy when i dunno wtf is inside then he said "sorry sale is like that"


what kinda shit service is this la some kinda pundek DAIVD ah jek.



anyway i got myself a b8pro splash, cymbal stand for drum stuff.

quite happy (:
 
yo man.. don't be surprised if sales is like that. it always have been like that. During sales, everything u see is cash and carry. no testing is allowed, unless its an acoustic guitar or drum or something, than u can...

If there's no sales, than they'll allow u to test the items...
 
you guys are lucky.. I found the announcement yesterday evening, around 8 i think. an im from johor. waaah.. I wanted a pair of Hand hammered Hihat.. and a pearl elim or iron cobra double peds.... Congrats to you guys...

If any one is selling a hand hammered Hihats, HH China and HH Splash.. PM me please..

Again congrats to those who got their long awaited stuffs...
 
not really long waited stuff... im quite surprised that this year's sales is like go in, grab, pay, get out... But the first day was packed and que was quite long... but the 2nd day most stuff i wanted was there and most stuff is available. not to mention no que..
 
i went on the last day.. no queue or whatsoever. i was suprised that there were so many paiste dimension and signature left. guess they re-stock. i also tested the paiste vision black 18" crash. but was curious about the series coz i didnt really like the colour.

anyway i left swee lee happily :D with
1: AAX 15" dark crash
2: tama drum stick(really like the feel)
3: meinl egg shake

Its innos and dimensions my frnd. The only sigs they've got is a 16" power crash.
 
it's real funny when the last time i went there when there was no sale, they said the cobras are more expensive than the elims.. but the elims cost 15 dollars more that day... funny eh?

anyways, u must also carry two boxes.. haha
