suggest a guitar (preferably ibanez) for a noob? $500+

No the body is slim and the neck is thin(suitable for girl hands)... Got in white oso .... But i dunno la, the tremolo is very chim for beginners... I would not suggest you getting it ...

an average Gio weighs (on average) as much as any other Ibanez guitars, however, there are lighter beginner models, notably GRG150/ GRX40/ 20/ GSZ120. the lightest Ibanez i've come across is the RG321, basically because it's devoid of a floating vibrato bridge. the S-series which sport the ZR bridge are hefty.

wow i jus saw the rg350dx on ibanez webby...hella nice in white.. but i dunno how much it weighs haha

No baby, only color. and pickguard type, one pearl, one mirror.

Mirror pickguard is those shiny shiny(rg350EX), pearl pickguard is those swirly swirly(rg350dx)

yeah ... Edge III chim leh ... you will need to have patience to change strings and also need to learn from someone who knows. .. Edge III not so impt la its just if you want to play with the trem, which in my opinion not important unless you play some major lead guitar like malmsteen and vai, it's livable without... So i recommend this, all same except this one is fixed bridge ...

You can just get locking tuners at the headstock, no more out of tune problems. Usually guitar oso go out of tune when you use the tremolo ...

Sorry man, but I fail to see the significance of locking tuners when you already have locking nuts.

In tune, lock nut, The only adjustment you can make to the tuning is via the fine tuners at the Trem. The headstock tuners don't matter.

k another guitar pro fren of mine warned me against tremolo bridges..haha

Brother. The thing is. If you want to do extreme whammy tricks like Vai, Satch and gang, you should get the trem designed for extreme whammy-ing, namely, a Floyd Rose style trem.

The Edge III is a pretty good trem... much better than the older TRS trems on older, low price range Ibanez guitars.

I can teach you how to restring the thing. Take about 15-20 mins for a restringing session. No issues and no problems. Granted, thats like 10 mins more than a fixed bridge guitar... but there is nothing to be afriad of the trem.

Again, only if you want to whammy hard... there's no better choice. Otherwise, steer clear.

She was talking bout the none locking trem Ibanez's.

Don't be skeptical bout tremolo or FR bridge units :) Once you nailed it, it isn't that hard to restring. Imo don't let this comment/myth daunt you.

Let's say you get a hardtail or TOM bridge guitar now, in the future you decide to upgrade and also think of acquiring a guitar with FR. You'll still have to learn it from scratch or from others.

Narrow down on what you think you need most, i.e if u gonna learn lots of extreme dives and pull stuffs then FR is the way to go
