can anyone suggest a guitar (preferably ibanez) for a noob? $500+ budget..haha and what do u pple think bout the jumpstart pack for ibanez? the one with grg270..

well at least the guitar has a floating bridge so that's cool...

but the amp is puny...my school has one and it's now spoilt...

haha u again...lol
i dont mind puny amps(for now) not like im playing in the indoor stadium soon or smth =p

in this price bracket, if you wish to get a floating bridge equipped unit, then you have to look into the GIO range. not all of Ibanez's floating bridges are fantastic, i'd urge you to avoid the ILT/ TRS models as these are proven lacking in terms of reliability & tuning stability.

you can still acquire these Ibanez models which are in your specified price range, after discount of course...

the GXR is perhaps the only GIO model with a reputable bridge (Edge III). will get back to you on the price later...

just a casual question..why does alot of people go for ibanez...

comparing with the standards between fenders, gibson and ibanez, how different are ibanezs from fenders/gibsons?

i guess there's also the price factor.

the Ibanez GXR370 (pictured below) lists for $700. played it today, it has one very smooth default bridge humbucker.

Nice to see them bringing back this series, though it's a Gio offering, which may turn people off, the Edge Pro 3 bridge is surely a welcome addition, as compared to the ILT1s on the GRGs.
