talking about birds eye maple, there's one samick ES-335 copy at centrepoint with brids eye maple. it's price tag says $518 but i believe the guy will allow some discount.
i own a Squire California Telecaster and its a great guitar..been tested by some and agreed that its great..jsut that the action is a lil high when u get it and some fret buzz which a lil set-up will do..
Well despite its superior aesthetics, unfortunately bird's eye maple is slightly less hard compared to the plain type. Just stuff I read up regarding wood materials.
and if its too hard you also get problems.
quite a few complains on certain rock hard maple necks, in that even a completely loosen truss rod will not get the neck bowed
I'v bought my Squire California Strats. And I'd belive the conclusion is that the California Seriers are REAL. They are made in China. If you check on the headstock you will notice that some models the Serial Number Sticker been peeled off(like my Squire I found the sticker been peeled off and for your info some of the guitar have sticker serial instead of printed.) and the Neck have a sticker saying Made in China. Like what one of the guy stated the distributer may have peel the sticker when it arrives here. And Squire California Series is belived to be sold in Asia only. And they have their reasons on taking off the SERIAL most proberly is regarding some bussines issue. So anything regarding WHY they take off the sticker please dont debate here cause its another issue.
