For me, I still don't mind playing sweet child of mine. Still have yet to see a shitty cover of it.
But usually, it gets on my nerves when some guys come up to me and expect me to play a chinese song that i have absolutely no idea how to play!

Metal gods? Slow? I guess I can't recommend any doom bands to you then..
I'm don't play these songs but I can't stand bands who cover a7x songs..

bad day - daniel powter (not sure if i spell it correctly)
and the one titled 'with you' by chris something, dunno the last name...

Well what would be intresting is to rearrange these songs to make them sound awesome still with your own flavour in it.. I know alot of musicians who make overplayed songs sound amazing and intresting when they do it in their own way...
Michela Theresa is one of them who takes rock songs and fuses it up with her own jazz style to make it sound priceless. She sings at Acid Bar , Timbre Etc... we are talking songs like A perfect Circle , Black Sabbath etc... so dont be a xerox but be out of the box.. haha

Oh I remembered not to long ago I joined the band for recruits night in tekong... Didn't really want to but had to perform The Anthem by Good Charlotte... I so love gay songs with four power chords! Gawd...

I plan to make my money the normal way, after I get my architectural degree, preferably in australia, WHILE doing music. If the music takes off, it'll be great! If it doesn't, I'll never let anybody, and I MEAN ANYBODY compromise my integrity and truthfulness to myself.

Haha Zack, not trying to say i can perfectly play it, but the part that irritates me is that not even dragonforce can play it well in live concerts.. After it being featured in GH it suddenly became "cool" to play it even if you cant.. And i see too much of that in youtube.. And when you go jamming with your metalcore wannabe friends..
