Songs you absolutely hate playing but are forced to?

James blunt ... James Blunt ...

HATE TOTALLY HATE THE "LAO SHU AI DA MI"
WHEN IT was so OVERATED! and all the kids are singing it and the television play it so many times! hate hate hate!!

"Utters in Digust!!"

And I can't believe they asked me to play that song!

zax u r my friend ....

hahahaha yay new friend !! , but yeah Bryan thinks it's his favourite song so he has to do it and the band has no choice , hahah so much for democracy , thank god im out of shotgunstart

the part that irritates me is that not even dragonforce can play it well in live concerts
I was actually quite impressed with the one they played when they were here at D'Marquee because there were close to no musical errors, though it wasn't an exact version of their studio recording. We all know that the tracks were most probably not recorded in 1 take, so bashing them about not being capable of dishing out perfect replica of their studio recordings during live performances ala Dream Theater doesn't make much sense to me.
**Imagines the DF stoning at their spot staring at, while playing their instruments with much concentration for 7 full mins**

But I get the part where you mention GH3... Yeah, suddenly the whole world likes "powermetal" cause of one song they heard on a game... And its also cool to upload videos of themselves playing this song on GH3 thinking they're actually good at guitar playing!

Do u think that many people keep covering

Hallowed be thy name n all version are like the same.....

like no excitement or new stuff add in....

kinda bored hearing to it

when you realised your bandmates are not YOUR band's slaves.

I know their not, but then they always have the choice to leave. It's always better to drop band members when they start giving you problems, I'd rather go solo than work with people that don't like me. I can program drums on propellerheads reason, play my own bass and play guitar, and if you know me personally, you'd know my method of running a band, is ripped off from marilyn manson.

To me, I would absolutely hate to sing overated songs over and over again.
The band tends to lose the feel of the song as their body system gets used playing to that kind of melo and rythm.
However, if u're the composer of the song, u'll not get sick of ur own creation.
Just like how the eagles had done hotel california over and over again but with the same feel.

Btw, I need drummer/keyboardist for my glam rock band.
We'll be playing classic songs too as we heard EMI is looking for bands to cover classic songs.
Interested?
If any one of you see this ad, pls private msg me.
Thanks =)

Try STILL GOT THE BLUES! So many requests & so many cheering on the intro,
& when the singging starts, the crowd start chit chatting with each other, oblivious that u r in front of them, playing THEIR favourite song, at THEIR request! Each & every time..

AHHHAA yeah I remember that one .... but these days if I get request to do I wont mind coz we never play that song anymore except for requests only

"Eh, you knows how to play 'Qing Tian' by Jay Chou ornot ARHSXZZ?"
Don't you hate it when you get that all the time?

funny how people talk about great songs like sweet child like it's too easy and the song's too beneath them or something. Some dude even said he covered 20 over times. Well... most bands i've seen can't even cover it with the singer in pitch and the band with the right groove and feel and guitar totally out. so don't insult a song due to your lack of competency to play it. I know you know what i'm talking bout dude.

WOW - I guess then I really am NOT COMPETANT ENOUGH ON GUITAR to play THAT song ..... must start taking guitar lessons .....

now everyone wanna pawn each other in playing instrument......

Aiyah bro - music is so diverse .... such that it's really a "one man's meat is another man's poison" situation. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.

I've seen alotta crap covers of my fav songs by local bands (both up & coming & cari makan full timers) too but it still didnt affect my affection for these tunes.

To each their own;)

It's not an easy song at all man hahaha but it's so annoying after you hear it for the millionth time . It's just simply over played

I could tolarate the Sheryl Crow version .... coz it doesnt have that pesky intro ....

Sweet Child of mine was a hit in 1988 where GNR fans are real rockers. It became unpopular by real rockers when the yuppies love it too somewhere in the late 90's. Till then...it became overplayed.

Bro fgl...I also wanna learn lah how to play Sweet Child of mine. Must learn from yuppies. Any idea whose good?
