i agree with Paul, and yes i agree with the person who commented you on youtube.com, pentatonic yes but it was kinda like a Chinese song, listen to Marty friedman lots youll like it if u really love pure pentatonic scales and Oriental Rock.
 
Good attempt at writing stuff. Just some tips if you'd like. Rather than having a song totally chord after chord sequenced, try spicing it up by playing some chords differently than the others, and some runs and fills inbetween. Hope to hear more from you.

Now i focus on starting from basics again. Now been practising major scales and increments for my solos.

I have created a few good acoustic songs. Just that haven't recorded yet. I'm not a singer (terrible singer) & prefer playing only.

I have another electric blues song entitled "Blues under the Stars". Waiting to buy a new fender squire before recording that song.
 
Dude, it's great that you're into writing your own stuff. But I would suggest that you do two other things while you are at it - firstly, go for quality and not quantity. Secondly, listen and learn other songs to get an idea as to what makes a great song.

You'll be heaps better in a few month's time. There is no shortcut in this busimess/pleasure.

Of course enjoy yourself while you are at it.

Now also so confused playing the guitar.

Too many mistakes and my solo doesn't sound good.

Can make nice rhythms but bad solos seriously bad ones. Maybe my fingers are not flexible enough and i'm not putting more passion in it.
 
oh my god....can somebody please teach this poor guy to play the guitar properly...and for heaven sake,please stop posting your playing in youtube,humiliating yourself playing like that...dont have to show the world how ridiculous you are playing guitar....
 
frodonet, djanggo may be rude and in the wrong but he sure wouldn't be jealous of those vids that you had posted either. I'd say keep on working on your chops and feel, you'll get there someday
 
dont really need a pro to criticise your playing ability..hahahaha..im not a good guitarist and i dont even dare to post a video here...you!! you are brave enough or can i say cocky?? to post that vidoe of yours????hahahahah try america funniest home video....you might get lucky..hahahahahahahah
 
yes..im very very very jealous and hurt with the way you play guitar...cause you make me laugh so hard that my stomach ache..making ppl laugh?that is talent that you have...i ve tried so hard not to comment on your playing but..i cant sleep well thinking of the way you play that guitar...giving me nightmares....so i decided to post this comment...to relief the suffering in me..hahahhahahaha

how does he improve if all u do is mock him?

I also don't know why he gives such mockery.

Maybe some don't understand that playing or practising other popular songs are not that hard cause the sounds already laid there but creating and composing your own song and playing is really hard and cumbersome esp when you don't have bass and drums to back you up.

I'm fine with the mockery and i hope i can impress him too one day.

smildrumez, i hope i can get some drummers for Mistaken Identity..too bad here only me playing that song...no one to help me yet. If i able to get some bass or drums for that song..i would re-record it again...haha

anyway thanks...will on that solo again.

but the sound quality is not good as it seem in live cause my mic is not really those recording mic, i just used normal pc microphone.

I've bought a new one and haven't tried it out yet...now working on a new song...only finish till the middle of it...lol
 
hahahaha.....im not saying you will not improve.But please dont post any guitar video unless you are ready to play well...Cause beginners,novices or kids may pick up your playing style or habit and that is bad example..hahahhaha....before even trying to create your own composition,songs or your own riff/solos,please get your basics right first off all.Understand the scales/modes purposes that you re practising.Not just playing scales blindly without understanding the theory behind it..well anybody can compose their own songs and it doesnt really have to be confine within scales,modes or anything.Theory is the guideline only.nowadays theres a lot of novice guitar player who like to do their own material but sounded lame cause they have no patience,they want short cuts..its like,once they can play basic stuff,they straight away try to write their own songs..there are so many local bands coming up,but to find a real good one is like one in a million...go learn from somebody who is good rather than learning yourself.Not everybody are talented to learn by themselves.
