Small Tube amps to recommend..

Tube Amp

Since you cannot play loud then the difference between a tube and solid state is not noticeable. When using a tube amp you have to crank it up to really get a good tone. Are you a aware that the surrounding is also very important. I play a Micro cube at home and it sounded so good but when I brought it to my friend's studio it sounded like shit.
Go down to City Music and check out those small tube amp if you have already decided to buy a tube amp.

Someone else..

I build this as a practice amp..a small wattage tube amp allow me to run it at full volume without an attenuator and get full tube saturation without anyone complaining.

However...1.5W is VERY LOUD but lack the "pressure" or force or whatever of a big wattage amp.

fifafu that actually looks very nice, how does it sound? any samples?

Agreed. Coupled with all the high maintainence costs, and you can't crank it up... If anything, hope the studio uses tube amps. But at home, might as well use solid state.

do check Ibanez's Valbee amp if it's within your means...

CIty Music has their Vox AC series of amps on clearance prices (ie year end sale prices). But even then, the cheapest AC30, the CC2 combo, is out of your price range at $972 (wierd that the CC2 is cheaper than the CC1).

solid state amps are good enough for home use, have you tried playing your guitar properly yet? that should help.

LOL.. I have a good tone for sure.. Jus wan to try tube amps.. I have try to replace tube amps will TS-9.. but it didn't work.. lols.. And dun under estimated my level of playing.. no offence..

Well you don't exactly have a big budget and ac-30's are huge. A little too loud for home use don't you think cause the sound best when slightly cranked.

budget is not a problem.. cuz i can save.. sad to say.. Vox Night train have no reverb.. any other tube amp? ps.. I should change my words.. I dun really wan something as small as 15 watt actually.. Slightly bigger 25-30 watt.. something for home use.. currently Vox Night train will be a prority.. but cabinet got any other choice? something not from vox..

If build is a concern, get the blackheart little giant, if build quality isn't a concern, get the vox AC4TV.

Personally I would go with the blackheart.

I've tried both and i think the AC4 trumps the blackheart, tone wise.

Much richer cleans with a harmonic richness and complexitivity the blackheart cannot even touch. The AC4 is what the blackheart hopes and wishes it could ever be.

At that price the AC4 is your best bet.. But I'd choose a Night Train over that one if you had a bigger budget.. Since you want slight break-up tones this is the way to go.. If you want pristine cleans at manageable volumes get a used Fender Pro Jr..
