Small Tube amps to recommend..

I play the AC4TVH with the matching cab, and I have it at 1/4 watt to keep the volume down when cranking, and 4 watts to get some clean headroom at low volumes...

Want to know how loud it is? My neighbours in the opposite block can hear what I'm playing when I've got it cranked at 1/4 watts, about 3/4 volume.

I think TS should really stop, evaluate what you want, what you need, what you hope to achieve. The reason I got a tube amp was because I wanted something more dynamic than a solid state, something more "fun" to mess around with to achieve different tones. With just the amp, an overdrive pedal, and a distortion pedal, I got more than what I've bargained for.

Now my set-up is a mean ball of dynamic tones waiting to be discovered. Unless you know what you're getting yourself into, don't. A tube amp may be simple with only a few knobs, but its a ULTRA SENSITIVE lady that requires tender loving care ^.^

Thank for your advice.. I will think again.. What I really need for playing? Perhaps tube amps will be another problem I facing through playing guitar.. Tube amp is really a BIG thing..

my 1W Killer Ant can rattle windows, no problems...

Actually, i was doing some research on low wattage amps below 5watts, and i realised on the manual of the blackheart killer ant, it rates it as 0.25watts though the main page advertise it as <1watt. i've heard some demos of it on youtube and the breakup sounds great.

I would guess it has very little clean headroom (if any at all) though, unless connected to a full stack? haha wanna try that out one day, wonder if yamaha will allow..
