Sluggish behavior of SOFT website

I hv experienced it too. After change of browser, it has gone away.

It's not the connection speed. The sluggishness is there after the page had loaded in its entirety. IE8 is confirmed to be the culprit.

But checking site compliance, as suggested by gutturalpiss, is probably also very helpful (James?).

I've had a quick look and most of them appear harmless, but anyone is free to dig deeper. I'm pretty sure it's IE, because a lot of what's "web standard" isn't implemented by Microsoft, so probably it's getting stuck somewhere, or looping something for more time than required.
