Hey guys i was wondering about changing my american standard pups to lindy franlin blues special, lollars or fender cs 69s. anyone got anything to suggest? or anything to say about these pups?

Waht's your amp? I'd suggest paying as much for the amp as you pay for the guitar - a $1,000 amp for a $1,000 guitar, or (if you are wealthy) a $5,000 amp for a $5,000 guitar.

The pickup that are in the Americazn Standard aren't too bad and you'd want a nice amp to get the best out of a set of lallars or fralins. I have fralin P90's in my 1978 Les Paul Special and they are so much more responsive and with a wider dynamic range than the original Gibsons.

Hope this helps.

cheers,

Mark.

I'm selling a set of Manlius (handwound in the USA) Vintage 70s single coil pickups with the bridge pickup having a baseplate at the bottom for more bass. Very versatile for rock n blues. PM me if ur keen :)

What kind of sound are you looking for in single coil pickups? for low or high gain?

The stock American standard pickups are not bad themselves. only thing is that they are not very "specific" pickups.
