This monumental video showcases the immense talent within Singapore's guitar scene, uniting musicians from various genres and backgrounds to celebrate their shared passion for music.
Singapore's Biggest Guitar Collaboration 2024 is a 25-minute instrumental track featuring 70 local guitarists, recognized by the Singapore Book of Records as the largest medley of electric guitar music. The song includes contributions from musicians across various genres like rock, metal, reggae, and jazz. The project was initiated by Olly Maguire and Amyr Abadawn, who also did the music arrangement. The song was released on streaming services, and its music video is available on YouTube.
The collaboration features veteran musicians like Rosli Mohalim (Sweet Charity) and Simon Lai (who plays for regional stars). The project also includes younger talents like 16-year-old Aydrean Skullbanger. Each guitarist contributed a 20-second solo to the track, recorded between June and August at Exuism Record studio or from their own locations. The music video launch event was held at R&W Bikerz Cornerz cafe.
