show us your home studio!

Just got it for a week... It's really perfect for the mac. Does everything within 2 ins and 2 outs and I swear by it's world-class converters!

Oh man, i couldn't agree with you more! I just got mine a week ago, since i had to get a sound card to hook everything up together nice and neatly for my producing. Plus it's so portable, you can put it into your pocket! :p

I love Apogee so much as it is sleek, simple and relatively powerful. It may be the cheapest amongst the professional sound cards but it's one of the more expensive items on the cheaper sound cards list hehe :). It's only for mac though!

It's design is similar to what a mac product would look like, doncha think? Hahaha!

Might post a pic of my studio/tv room soon lol
Peace!

neat! I'm considering one. Currently have a firebox.. Most likely working towards getting my monitors first.

Any recommendations? I was thinking of going with KRK Rockkits

Wow, everybody's got such seemingly elaborate setups (this is from a clueless newbie of course).

What kind of music do you guys produce? Is there somewhere I can go to have a listen to what all this cool gear is capable of? Do you guys share your music like on www.icomposition.com which I just stumbled upon the other day?

Btw, I'm just lurking for a while cos I am still trying to figure out how to proceed with my interest in composing.

We just re-did the NUS Electronic Music Lab studio in preparation for the new academic year -yes, it's our home studio because it's our second home :)

They are cool...go for the larger ones (the 6 or the 8 )...i used to have a pair of 5s...found them lacking in space/depth...but maybe its just cos my ears are lousy :)

Have fun,
luke

Damn! Thats a nice studio!

Where did you get the Bugera from? How are you liking it?

Also, how much did the soundproofing aspect cost you?

Cheers

not exactly sound proofing but juz acoustic foaming. cost me less than 100 bucks. those pattern foam i got it from one of the softies here, Jaybon. he is selling each piece for 5 bucks if i could remember. the bugera i got it online. change the stock 12ax7 to jj tubes. more dirty sounding more gain. bias the power tubes hotter to get the tight chugging sound. quite a versatile amp i should say. plug in a strat blast the reverb and u can get dick dale's mirsirlou tone on the clean. the crunch channel is the one i love the most. from U2 dirty sound to some seroius death metal crunch. the lead channel.... need me to say more....? u have to try it to know more. but i know nothing beats the hi-end tube amp. well.... dat all i could afford.

My little set up

Just completed the corner traps and first reflection panels.

Fiberglass is no fun to work with, but worth it.

Hello from Australia

Hi Everyone!

This is my current Home Studio Setup that I've moved from Singapore over to Sydney. I do Audio Post Production for Independent Films and occasional TV Spots. In addition to that, I also help to record Demos. I currently run 3 DAWs on 2 work stations. ProTools LE on the Mac Pro, Logic 8 and Cubase on the MacBook Pro.

What we have here in this picture is my ProTools Setup for Audio Post-Production. Featured is the ProTools DigiDesign 003 Interface/Control Surface, Dell LCD Monitors for Mixing and Arranging, Samsung 42" HD TV as my primary preview Monitor, Dynaudio BM6A Monitor Speakers and the Mac Pro.

I'll post my Logic and Cubase setup as soon as I have the other half of my home studio setup. In that setup I have the Behringer Field Monitors and the M-Audio Project Mix I/O.

Cheers! =D
