my very small setup... nothing special. just a tama stagestar + a few paiste.

wow .. lars_ulrich

with that set up (wish i could have that kind of set)
how do you manage to keep your neighbour's complaint at bay ...

any tips to dampen the sound ? or did you soundproof your room ?

hey lars_ulrich you might wanna consider getting a rack for all your toms and cymbals?

just a suggestion.

well i live in a 3-storey house and my drum room is all the way on the top floor. the room doesnt have any real windows cept one the faces the wall of the airwell in my house so its pretty isolated. havent done any soundproofing actually. so the neighbours dont hear much but everyone in my house gets a hella lot of drums whenever i play. and bcos the room is pretty small, i have to use mufflers when i play or else my ears wud be gone.

well when i jam with my frends we play mostly metallica and nirvana songs with one or two black sabbath songs. when im practiscing alone i play to a few deep purple songs. other than that i try and come up with fills and try to build up my double bass speed(the rate at which im improving isnt that high though.)

whoa...nice kit every1...especially the stagestar...great small kit ...muz be very comfy.hA!

I wonder if there are more members in the forum with pics of their kits... :?

No more tissue paper muters. Dents in the skin come from sick heavy beaters like your friend.

thanks... but the thing is, im kinda big... so i've like outgrown the kit. haha. so far most of the pic here are pearl drums. planning to get a tama rockstar by the end of this year with new cymbals.

btw, lars, is that ahead sticks i see in ya pic? any idea where to get it in sg and roughly how much?

thanks a mil.

yeah those are ahead sticks there. i bought them from australia. havent been able to find a place in sg that sells them. i think u can order them off www.music123.com if u want, although thats from the US. the ones i have are the lars ulrich signature series and cost me about $88 and the replacement tapers are about $12 and the tips about $5. this was the rough price about 1 and a half years ago when i bought it from melbourne. dunno about now.

Posted this in the "People - Drums" forum before but here are some updated shots with a much wider lens.

Sorry for the size, it's linked off my gallery:

What would make it really nice would be an extra bass drum but as you guys can see, I really don't have space for that. :(

ok, haha. thanks lars. i would prefer to get it here in singapore. but how are the sticks? my friend got the joey signature model and he claims it's sensational.
