yeah those are ahead sticks there. i bought them from australia. havent been able to find a place in sg that sells them. i think u can order them off www.music123.com if u want, although thats from the US. the ones i have are the lars ulrich signature series and cost me about $88 and the replacement tapers are about $12 and the tips about $5. this was the rough price about 1 and a half years ago when i bought it from melbourne. dunno about now.

ok, haha. thanks lars. i would prefer to get it here in singapore. but how are the sticks? my friend got the joey signature model and he claims it's sensational.

Yo...they are some downsides to it.haha

Example : 1)If you're a hard hitter...you'll probably crack the cymbal
2)Change the sleeve often...if the metal core is exposed...CONFIRMED to crack a cymbal
3)It is known to break in half somehow
4)Bear in mind it is created by a baseball bat company! ( imagin!!! :( )
5)Doesnt sound to great on rides...

Well some of these i read off the net...useful stuff...

especially the stagestar...great small kit ...muz be very comfy.hA!

thanks... but the thing is, im kinda big... so i've like outgrown the kit. haha. so far most of the pic here are pearl drums. planning to get a tama rockstar by the end of this year with new cymbals.

btw, lars, is that ahead sticks i see in ya pic? any idea where to get it in sg and roughly how much?

thanks a mil.

Hmm...i suggest you go for the newline SUPERSTARS...better shell material, hardware, finishes. But of coz its more ex.

But i did found something incredible: Ludwig Accent CS Custom is made of birch and has great hardware...IT IS CHEAPER THEN ... a Ludwig Accent Custom made of philipine mahoganY!!!!furthermore...its a birch kit half the price of Birch Pearl Sessions...so u might wanna try buying that instead and tell me abt it...

Im really interested in those ludwigs...i wish i had a kit....sarks living in a hdb flat...

1)well im a pretty hard hitter, and i havent broken any cymbals in the past 1 and a half yrs that ive been using ahead sticks.
2) i only change sleeves once in about 4 mths and i use my sticks everyday so i wudnt say u have to change it often.
3) it doesnt break in half somehow.
4) imagine what? top drummers use this brand of sticks so its obviously good whether or not its a baseball company.
5)it sounds pretty good on rides. maybe not as good as a regular wooden stick but its still very good.

haha...yeah.and travis won the best drummer last year !??!*&@*(!&@(*!@&!!!! come on man.People lyk dennis chambers, terry bozio, neil peart,Bobby Jarzombek ( metal ) arent heard of.

Simply put...endorsing a famous ( not nescessarily the best ) drummer gets the Brand name going. But Ahead sticks ARE good no doubt...but still nth beats a good hickory/oak/maple stick
