Cause I have a LP now. Thinking of upgrading.
Wonder if I should get a SG Custom or the LP Black Beauty.

Wah. I was stunned for a moment. I don't have good impression with Epis (less MIJs). I believe you will do better getting the upcoming PRS Singlecut SE or any MIJ LPs. Make sure the maple is cap, not veneer.

I dun understand the part about the maple being cap or veneer. What does it mean?

ooo i love the SG
mine's a silvertone copy though haha
i prefer the 61' reissue to the Standard
anyone seen an SG with an LP pickguard?

any idea where to get the cheapest gibson les paul standard nowadays?

heard the newer models arent as good as those in the 90s

Thinking of getting another Epiphone or maybe switching to Ibanez. But I kow nothing about Ibanez.

between these to brands, it's not quite a 'switch'. if it's within your means, it's good to own both.

Lifehouse: How much would the PRS Singlecut SE cost?

And what are the Ibanez models within $800?

PRS singlecut SE isn't here yet- delayed shipment. as mentioned in GEAR NEWS, it'd be very close to $1K.

$800-$900+ range Ibanez: RG320/ 350/ 370/ SZ320/ 520/ S370/ 470

I think should be closer to 1.2K than 1K. But judging solely on specs alone, this will be the best in the whole SE range.

i'm quoting $1K because the dealer said so, in any case, it'll be $900++ unless there's something inflating the price when these finally reach our shores.

best looks doesn't equal best tone. i was really skeptical with the Tremonti SE with its endorser affiliation & much hyped reputation but having tried the guitar, the tone & playability just prove worthy. see if the singlecut SE can pip the former.

Its going to davis am i right?
Yeah man 1K and below would diefinetly do it for me :)

yes- Davis.

i was taken aback by the sub-$1K quote also, but there's very little technical difference between the Tremonti SE & the Singlecut SE, just some cosmetics, hence the affordable price tag. hope this initial quote isn't about to change...

sorry to hijack but since ur talkin bout davis...do u guys noe the price range for LTD deluxe models...?man the m-1000 is major gas.... :smt055
