looks like you need some flares on the side of your board.

Halfway thru a gig kick those flares into action and voila.

rockstar 101, class dismissed.

lights not for me, count me out... i only want flame and sparks!

best way for flame and sparks is to ignite them which such high heat that come from ur fingers when u shred and the fretboard starts to burn.

ask ized.. he does that all the time.

Alamak dude...I dont shred...cos I play post-rock ;)

Anyways....my band's recording for anyone who's interested in hearing how the 7th sounds:

http://www.myspace.com/automatedtimemachine

Both guitars were tracked with the 7th into a Ceriatone JTM45 (thanks to Danelectrico for loaning it to us!).

My clean parts were tracked with the 7th on the green channel and and the heavy parts a MIJ Boss DS-1 into the 7th's red channel. The 7th was clear, punchy and full-sounding and I could control the amounts of gain/saturation with simple adjustments on my guitar's volume knob, especially during the low-gain/clean-ish sections.

Just to sidetrack abit though, cos i think this deserves a mention - the bass was tracked with Goose's Boosty which was amazingly versatile - the pedal added alot of punch and clarity to the low end which made the bass sound alot more alive compared to the sterile tone coming out from the DI box and bass preamp. Even the sound engineer commented that he did not need to do any additional bass EQ-ing - testament to the pedal's strengths and capablilities.

Enjoy!

Yes we should all get pretty lights, like my orange LED boost channel on my 7th:)

actually i have no idea why we all want lights on our pedalboards.. why not OUR GUITARS?

because if you dont install the leds DURING the construction of the guitar you'd have to break it apart to install the leds. ( I assume u want it at the neck inlays/bodies etc . )

Alternatively u can put those external leds on a small thing board and attach to ur guitar which looks quite disgusting to me.

That's totally feasible keith, u shld check out steve vai's 20th annivesary rg, it has a plastic body with luminiscent neon swirls and multiple leds installed in it, freaking cool!

yeahh thats cool man... i got an issue with my pickguard though..

i previously tried removing my pickguard but my screw gave way instead. its a 2nd hand guitar.. thats why. and now i have 1 screw seriously stuck in one of my pickguard holes, and i wont be able to remove it with the same screwdriver anymore. what can i do to remove it ah?

I just got my Vox AC4TV....the 7th heaven into it just smokes aye!

Was at Goose's place earlier today....this nifty little fellow takes the 7th heaven well, high gain chug was awesome tight and defined with clarity, bass response was full due to the closed back cabinet design.

I can personally attest that the 7th into this little monster smokes many high gain amps I've heard in terms of tone. Goose even changed its preamp tube for me and it sounded even better now. For an amp in this class and size price-wise, its really difficult to beat.

It really takes dirt pedals well too...even fuzzes. It is even capable of stepping down the power rating with its own built in attenuator bringing down the overall power to just 1/4 of a watt (perfect for bedroom volumes when you need saturation) and this little monster is really loud at its full 4 watts settings. Tons of headroom here! I remember Goose's wife was saying my amp was wayyy too loud for its size and it was ridiculous! :)

Best purchase of the year so far. 300 bucks really well spent!! :D

Hi Goose/Ized,

Would you mind sharing what preamp tube replaced the stock tube in the AC4TV? I just bought the combo version last week as well and it's really awesome. However, I wouldn't mind making it even better :)
