Small orders are crazy expensive from RS. Actually even for bulk orders for industry types they are expensive, where I used to work they were always a last resort.

So while we are sort of on the topic.... Where to get Jfet's transistors in Singapore?

can try sim lim tower. Bought some 5457 and 5486 from there before

both from shops round 3rd floor, cant remember the name of the shop thou

5457 from the shop where you see a "ang cai"/red cloth hanging at the shop signboard when you come up the escalator(if direction that you come up from 2nd floor and see the tube hi fi store on your right). If going into the shop, ususally i see one ah pek/auntie sitting round there watching tv or listening to sutra cd, behind counter got some tamya insect or robo kit. Go in straight to the end, it be really cramp with floor to some height shelves and 2 rotating shelves, look up and you see a chinese deity altar. Heh, one of the small drawer on shelf below(the altar) got the 5457

5486 cant really remember liao, but shud be also on the 3rd floor. Usually i just wander round and round there going into any shops and search thru their shelves. Sometime can find, sometime aunty see liao buay tahan and ask me, then i tell them what i looking for. If not i just help myself to look see everywhere, as long the shelf not situated behind their counter.
