ROS 2

hi heartrock - looks like the line-up is building up. may want to leave those channels open and when the time comes, much excitement through auditions etc. Maybe would be good to consider other aspects of the show, and see what resources are needed and where toget them?

Sounds interesting - especially the multi-day scope and variety of genres.

if u need help, i could try to help with licensing / venues etc. let me know what you need.

Thanks Gargle for the offer. I will certainly count on you for assistance. With regard to licence & venue, as this is an annual Singapore Arts Festival event, we have no issue with that, as well as venue. Quotations have already been called for the various logistics, and publicity is handled mostly by National Arts Council. Pending negotiation between NAC & NParks, we'll most likely use Fort Canning Green. It's only a matter of date.

Do keep in touch with me here or over email.

ROS-2 is now working quietly getting sponsors. We realized the last tiem the sound & lights sucks...so we are putting more than double this time round to bring it to standard.

hey cool! if the setting is gonna be like hopejam(fort canning green), um..can we not have the many security ppl at the front of the stage? true, safety first but its also very uncomfortable!lol!

yeah...
totally agree..
please dun tie a string at the front again this time can? :D
the guards can be by the side, incase something happens.

i'd love to see some new faces but if a band is too new which needs a lot lot of pracitice.....better hold on for a while.coz if we all want this event to get bigger and greater,it requires a high and strict standard of choosing bands 8)

Because the audience is going to double as well, there will be no strings but barricades, and guards will be inside the barricade and will not have body contact with audience if necessary. The spirit of ROS will live on as what we had, if not better.

BrainFailure, ROS will become better each time, so even if there are newer bands, they will be auditioned just to make sure they are consistent with the standard we all are expecting.

Bands!

Hi i was just tracking back and looking at the nominations for the bands. I wonder if you guys could ask the band "Ugly in the Morning" to play?

I like their music - it rawks! Anyone second that? :D

NAC publicity channels - are they sufficient?

What's your personal opinion of NAC's publicity machinery?

The bands list has to go through some process. Firstly, some bands whom the committee is not familiar with will have to go through auditioning. While we have an exhaustive list, not all the bands may want to perform for ROS. But we will have to work pretty fast on that because that will have to go to NAC, who may require demos as well.
