Impiety is metal rite..?

i was at the world battle of the bands finals at hard rock and these guys do noe how to rock and just ROCK!!!
sth different from the norm.
great music and down to earth funny ppl.. :smt023

guess they're an 'undiscovered' metal band waiting to be showcasxed. :supz:

pls, in the whole list, impiety is much better than most of them. impiety la!

Impiety is good but they are kinda anti-christ and i am not sure if the media are ready for them...maybe i can suggest suicide solution....or even RUDRA.....or even vervaine..they are pretty good local metal bands...!!

But there seems to be very few metal bands in the 50 that has been shortlisted so i guess not much metal in ROS2 this time.

actually, just no metal core! with the exception of good metalcore(machinehead, lambofgod).

comon ppl, give death metal a chance.

It doesn't matter whether you are new or old, you have to be good. .

aye. yep yep. of course blackstar is interested. we have abit of exp tho we just formed. we are currently fine tuning our originals. played at a few gigs, including carnival@marina and the at the world cyber games that featured ronin and crossbred. hoping to get our big break. rest assured, anthony, that we are dead serious about our music.

Vaiyen is right, metal is also part of Singapore's music scene. Not only the metal genre, the whole rock thingy has to get accepted by the general public. So as HeartRockSingapore goes about getting the general public to accept us as an integral part of Singapore, we like to do it together with metal brothers without jeopardizing everything. That is what Trishul meant. Let's be patient. Rome is not build in one day.

don worry..
a lot of ppl start to think metal = rowdy skinheads just bashing each other..
no man!
that is just so stereotypical.. metal has come a long way.. and in singapore good metal bands are appreciated and now skinheads also got some form of respect for others
'Friendly' Moshing..
ive been in the moshpit so many times
i know and have seen the difference..
so guys lets not generalise music here..
music is universal.. be it funk, jazz, blues, rock or metal.. it ought to be appreciated..

Peace and LoVe for Music always
Jashan

I do not think so either, otherwise I would not have put Rudra in, and metalheads were a lovely bunch of fun loving people. It is a matter of management of perception and expectation.

hey there guys i am PIO from VENDETTA this so cool and i really think what the organiser are doing is really great for all the local band..... keep it up man.....

PEACE

if you put in Flawed Element, don't forget Arbitrary Element  bound to cause a bit of confusion :D

(jazz, reggae, accapella)<>(pop, newage, soft rock)<>(indie, punk, emocore)<>(glam rock, blues, oldie rock)<>(hardrock, metal) <>(hardcore, trash/death/speed metal)

(experimental and soundscape have to insert accordingly it's position, no fixed choronlogical order possible)

Maybe you can span like between 2 or 3 adjoining groups in each gig, but not to skip genre too extreme, may be able to get more desirable results.

Just a personal opinion, how you feel, mr heartrock?[/quote]

Thats a valid point..speaking from personal experience we once played a gig at a ska/emo event an we play funk/rock...the crowd murdered us!! it was no fun at all. Perhaps anthony can consider slotting the similar genres on different days..that way each day of ROS 2 will have its own theme and set of similar genre bands. just an idea!
