@rottenramone, unsane n edder - in regards to my sig, theres a diff between clones and fakes. it sure beats a sig posing a Fake '62 GoldTop Gibson LP'.
an ''A list'' sessionist like Samad from K.L. (of Lefthanded fame), picks up my clone and plays it like he's at home, tells me how well its built, setup blah blah blah. My clone is cool, i believe.
clones have their own brand. whether they are good or improved builts (like PRS Singlecut, Suhr, ESP, Brian Moore) or budget builts (Epiphone n Squire) to a Gibson or Fender, they are just that. Clones sell legally, Fakes work through yahoo auctions and such web retails as stated by thread starter.
fyi, currently i use a Fender Am Std (13 yr old strat), a limited-run Midnight Burst Gibson LP and my POT for live/studio, depending on the job at hand. still am in regret selling off a 93' Gibson LP Std, some 7 years back. the real thing age like fine wine. (like beer for edder)
