I saw some Wolf rick copies at GC..anyone tried them yet? I heard Rickenbacker is very strict on anyone who makes illegal copies of their models. Dont think I wana bring it to a gig if I bought it cos I dun wana get sued should an employee of Rickenbacker be around..so will I get sued? I know dumb qn, but I want to try them one of these days..the moment I saw the Rick, suddenly the opening riff of the Beatles` Hard Days Night hit me...: P

haha! yeah dude, don't worry...they'll sue the factory or manufacturer or whoever...just lie that it was from ur granpa who lives in Melbourne :D

Bringing this thread back to life after I read abt fake Fender n Gibson guitars...ok just to DOUBLE confirm, if I play a Rickenbacker copy outside n someone from the Rick company happen to see it, I wont get sued right? They will go after the company tat makes it? Just WANNA be sure :)

ahem.....

will you be playing at anywhere near a RICKENBACKER manufacturing plant?

ahem.....

Don't worry lah. First of all, it's a copy (with own brand) not a fake. Secondly, they will go after the manufacturer if they chose to. Lastly, there are no dealers in this country or region.

yeh rickys are hard to copy, the one that sound close but still far away copy would be the early fernandes one, apperently they got in trouble so fast very little of it is produce,
