regarding strats..

I'm looking to buy a strat, and have been looking around the forum on
MIA/MIJ/MIM fender strat discussions..
My preferred choice currently would either be MIA or MIJ.
thick laquer on MIJ turns me off though..

However, I wanna know if anyone of you have counterpart strats such as Tokai or Edwards. Any other recommendations as well?
My budget would be around MIA Fender Standard.

Cuz recently i bought an Edwards LP-98 and im amazed by the overall construction & tone of the guitar for its price.

I've looked up reviews @ harmony central on edwards strats reviews..but only found 1.

yeah i saw all the recent threads on strats @ buy/sell section.
i'm just looking to see if anyone has alternatives or suggestions.

you can try the swing prism. it's got an american alder body with the X bridge which allows you to have acoustic sound.. and it's 1K only. the pickups are seymour duncans too. HSS. http://standardvalue.com.sg/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=228

oh yeah why didnt i think abt swing.
i'll definitely consider that.
but it seems abit too complicated to my liking.
i'd prefer something thats simple.

Go try them all out. I think many people think that the lacquer on the MIJs are thick just because they are glossy. Whereas the MIA / MIMs are matt.

I second that...building your own guitar really allows you to get what you want.
i personally built 2 guitars already and i love them...u reallyshould consider.
