i was GASsing for a Triple Rec once but after hearing it in person, it was a no go. all due respect to the amp per se- very good tones but it's not what i hear from players who use these live/ in their recordings. it's down to the supplements they feed into this amp, namely other pre-amps/ FXs...

I kinda agree with you sub, when i played a dual recto, I was surprised how loose the bottom end was. Wasnt as tight as my 5150 ololo

the reason why i think MESA could have been better. gee, there are too many MESA fans here...

i think people vote for mesa's cause they've heard the hype about it but its so rare in sg, they havent heard it in real life..
curiosity u know, gets the better of em..
im voting for the marshall crunch!
but fender for cleans.. ahh

I voted for Marshall. But I really like Orange amps. Sadly, not many shops deal with Orange amps. They look awesome and sounds awesome too.

the tube laden Orange amps are quite something. the price is rather steep in comparison to other British units...

Either Mesa or Rivera haha
BUT!!!!! My MESA is a clean beast hahaha not a chugga2 thing my rivera too i likey cleans 3D cleans..

I've played through the Mesa Road King Rectifier and the Mesa Express 5:50 at tom lee and bentley respectively....

Till to date, the Mesa road king rect remains highest in my books. The gain is simply amazing. I'm a big fan of RAW amp gain. Well, thats how i describe it as. Saturation and clarity.

The Express 5:50 was killer too. Sounds A lil marshally but with more low end and the sag. Not so within the high gain terroritory but i did cranked the gain till bout 3 oclock and it sounded still clear and ballsy.

Recorded with Peavey Triple X and Marshall JCM2000...They get my votes too... :D
