Aidilfitri is a celebration of a conquest of moderation and abstinence during the 30 days of fast. It is also a time which we are encouraged to renew bonds with family, neighbours and friends.

But I believe that we are encouraged to "celebrate" Aidiladha more, if I am not mistaken...

Anyway, honestly it's just like any other day for me. Just that now you can go back to eating in daytime.

I hate seeing Ramadhan end.

haha..tats rude...i really wana haf a soft gathering...
Well bro, there's a lot of soft 'gathering' that has taken place like 'Soft Jam' macam adik-adik soundnya. Anyway, we also had Vocalist Hangout in the past and probably after raya we'll have some more.

You can organise one if you want to like "Raya with softies" like that.

Saluti!
Tetragrammaton

yup thats true.

during ramadhan, you're kinda supposed to feel how the less fortunate go through their daily lives.. that kind of thing. and the abstaining from the many discourages things.
and when syawal comes, you're proud that you went through a month of "hardship" per se.. and to stregthen the bonds between family and friends ah.

and "celebrate" aidiladha more because there is nothing bigger than sacrificing something for god. just like that prophet who sacrificed his son for god.. i forgot his name.

i got most of this from my ustazah back when i was still going for religious classes.

Nabi Ibrahim sacrificed his son, Nabi Ismail. :)

Does fasting encourage good morals as well? Because I've seen people fasting and at the same time swear, gossip, brag, or are selfish and inconsiderate with others. Does things like that sway the notion of fasting? Not starting anything, I'm just curious on how it works, cos I've had mixed opinions on it from some people who takes actions like that as the fast being voided..

Yes, fasting encourages good morals. A time for us to refrain from bad habits (i.e. gossiping, swearing), to practice anger management and lend a helping hand. Hopefully after the fasting month, we adopt this good habits in our everyday life.

lol nice one..listen to the emo2 kind of raya songs..haha..
Bila tiba hari raya
Semua insan bergembira
Tetapi bagiku hanya kesedihan
Yang menyelubungi hidup

hehe.

Don't listen to emo2 and sad songs la, later no mood. You listen to something like happier and livelier. :D
