Rally Singlecuts?

Anybody got any feedback about the Rally GL-300? Any problems with it? Because i'm thinking of getting one in wine red. :)

It would be much helpful if you give the Pro's and Con's :)

Thanks Guys :)

What a coincidence, cos I also have the GL-300 in wine red also :). The pickups sound amazing for a China made copy, I'm serious. I dun see a need to change them at all. But I already ordered Stan Hinesley humbuckers from the USA when they were suppose to go into my Strat and I have since changed my Strat to SSS configuration, so didnt wanna see them go to waste. I upgraded the pots in the guitar since I have spare ones left over from my Strat which are Gotoh 500k pots. And added orange drop as well.I dun have tuning problems so far.

But for the price, it's excellent value for money. Just upgrade the pots to Gotoh ones, add orange drops. The upgrades shouldn't cost more than $100, if not wrong.. and ur good to go for a great sounding Rally..deep, thick fat sounds..:) But if u wana do coil split, u might be disappointed that the Rally pickups are not 4 conductor wiring. I did a coil split with my SH humbuckers and I get an excellent split sound..single coil like.

My opinion, get it!!

Well ur definition of clean may vary. I played mine thru a Fender amp and the clean is clear n have definition for a stock pickup. But u need to really test one out cos what I like is something that u might not like.

Gd luck :)

Haha another thing sorry, if i may add.

How do you compare this to, lets say a Epi LP, or a Squire Strat lets say which is in the price range, cause I dont look at brands or headstocks, but how does it compare to them? :)

you cant compare a strat with a singlecut, they have different components, the pickups and construction.

why not check out the smash strat? its a great guitar for its price.

I actually played an Epiphone LP before the Rally one and I can tell u, there not much of a difference except for the price tag :) So I went for the Rally.

Ha Faizal, me too. I was looking to get a Burny from Japan but they do not have the model I want. Then, I went to SV and they happened to have a sale then. After playing it, I can't resist but to get the GL 400 home. And, I have no regrets. :p

I'm not implying that the sound would be similar, i'm asking if its more worth it to get a strat instead of the Rally :)

Just curious .... mahogany ? real maple top and not photo flame?

here is the factory site ....but not much info!

Names on headstock doesn't affect me, as long as it plays right, sounds right, feels right and can hold tuning well, then why not? I would gig with any guitar even a no name one :)

Well the sounds of a strat and a Rally guitar will definitely be different and u might find urself requiring both guitars if u play various musical genres. But if u need to have a versatile guitar, I'd say go for the HSS Strat style guitar :)

...doesn't say much and reviews comin from blog with 70% trade adverts .... take it with a bucket of salt.....make it two !

those are not trade adverts, if you see it that way then it's affliction...

it's not a review, just some passing comments...

a les paul HAS to be mahogany. i'd consider getting a rally single cut and modding it if i can confirm its specs...
