Radio Stations don't make the cut these days?

Will the government ever let a radio station air metal channel?

I mean, I'd heard of Ria playing a little of alternative metal. But that's all.

Fact is, there's alot that the government bans... I don't know if the idea of a metal radio station was ever rejected or not that anyone came out with an idea.
Alot of comparisons can be made.

They put into consideration about public listeners. Is it appropriate? What about the younger listeners?
Well, like i mentioned before, 50Cents music is bad influence... talks about drugs and killings. And Britney who herself was one demure teenage turned havoc. Her 'not even nice' dance moves is also bad image... What about Pussycat Dolls? Enough said.

Besides, on a positive notes for metal, they have a strong command of english usage that people should listen.
They don't use terms such as, "Wouldya, Chillin', Dun Cha...."

Are you talking about the metal program hosted by Brother Bo? I wouldn't consider the songs alternative metal, really. Is Kreator and Morbid Angel alternative metal?

OH YOU REMINDED ME. I remembered Slayer too. Oops.

Okay lah, maybe I'd heard too much SOAD on Ria.

But a full dedicated channel for metal music?

There isn't even a dedicated channel for blues and jazz! What more about metal?

i remember back in secondary school , on the way to school i'll listen to Glen , Rod and the Flying Dutchman hahah THEY'RE THE SEX ! class 95

Not many youngster listen to radio nowadays. Most of them have mp3 player filled with music they like.

Mobile phones will be the next Radio/TV.

actually still got alot of people listening to radio, you try calling in to the radio stations- always engaged.

there is little demand for metal, though. You won't have as many listeners as the other stations and nobody will want to air commercials on your station.

it might be a better idea to do podcasts or internet radio.

commercial for metal radio station can include

1) casket services
2) tombstone maker
3) fashions for dead people
4) make up artist for dead people
5) chanting services
6) candles for all occassions
7) Hota awareness
8 ) anger management
9) fashion for metal head
10) all things pop culture, from fashion to music to lifestyle

listen to radio for 10 years and you realise it's declining

listen to radio for 20 years and you realise it's been shit all along

lol,i listened to it for onli 3 years and i realised it's shit.

the only station i listen to now is symphony 92.4 haha.
and i think the only reason why i listen to it is because i couldn't figure out mainstream classical music from those less mainstream ones.
ok, seems weird but yeah.

and i don't think it is about how "good" or how "bad" metal is or how "good or how "bad" rap and hip hop is.

if the majority of the people say "this" is "right", and you're doing "that", it puts you in the "wrong" although it may be true that "that" is "right"

so i don't really think there is a point in arguing if metal is good or bad lah. it's more like how accepted it is.

check put Ria 89.7 fm on sat 12 am to 2am..the list of metal songs put out by Brader Bo is quite good..yup 2 full hrs of metal...in whatever sub-genre..you could also send in requests for your fav metal songs...the show is called Vicious Volume...

A few years back.... Heart 91.3 used to play metal/rock/alternative genre on Sat and Sun from 1pm to 4pm. The DJ if i'm not mistaken was Maddy Tan or Madeleine Tan..... You could possible request a Pantera or even Death.During the time when Tower Records was still around.....
