hi, anyone know if im able to install emg active pick-ups into a RG321? cause ive heard things about space problems for the battery, so i just wanna know if can. if there's no space for an active pickup i shall decide on smth else. pls help! ty!

Open your electronics cavity, and try to fit a 9v in. If you can't, then you need to route out a compartment... which isn't a biggie since its an RG.

Well, you just have to open up your cavity. No biggie there.. unscrew, take out cover. Look inside, hold a 9v battery and see if it can fit in the cavity with the cover on.

instead of routing out a space for the battery..try fitting the battery in the back cavity of your trem (where the springs are). i've done this before, just run the battery clip wires through the same hole that the ground wire goes through.

ive actually used a 9v battery to block a floating trem before. 2 in 1 in this case hahaha

Yeah, the RG321 is fixed bridge.

Anyway, nak, yes, just open up the cavity behind, there's only 1.

You should see a neat bunch of wires. Remember, be careful and unplug the guitar from the amp before doing anything. Now, do note, if you damage something, it ain't going to cost you hundreds, likely a few bucks should you knock some wiring loose.

Now, see if the 9v batt can fit in. it can be on top of the electronics or inbetween. Try to get an area that is slightly larger than a 9v.

Report please!

Hehe... excellent.

Go crazy with the emgs... and remember if you don't use your tone pot, consider swapping it out with some of the emg add-on stuff... mid scoop, out of phase switch... so on so forth. :)

be sure to unplug your guitar when not in use. Power is drained from the battery the moment your guitar is plugged in

yup, it can last for 3000 hrs.

btw if you have space to put another 9v in the cavity, do so, 18v in series for EMG makes your tone have more headroom :)
